Cancellation and Behaviour Policy
Cancellation
-
Lessons must be paid for by/on the day of the lesson.
-
I have a 48 hour cancellation policy - if you cancel within 48 hours you must still pay for the lesson.
-
Any cancellation within 48 hours may be made up during my available open lesson times, but this is not guaranteed.
-
Students who cancel their lesson regularly will lose their time slot.
-
Late students - as I often teach back-to-back lessons, if a student is late I cannot guarantee that I will be able to extend to lesson past the original finish time.

Behaviour
Lessons in school: all students are expected to behaviour in a polite and respectful manner. Students who do not this, or students who break school rules, may be asked to leave the music lesson and I will send a warning sent home. Students who repeatedly break school rules may not be able to continue with music lessons.

Private lessons at my home:
-
Piano/violin lessons take place in my teaching room in my home. All students and their families are expected to behave in a polite and respectful manner. Anyone who is not doing so may be asked to leave.
-
Parents/carers are welcome to sit in the lesson, in my waiting area, or just outside in your car (if you drove here).
-
Siblings are not allowed to sit in on the lesson. This is so that my full focus can be on the student having the lesson.
-
For students in primary school an adult will need to be persent (either in the lesson or waiting just outside).
-
For students in secondary school, if you are not going to stay for the lesson I will need the contact number for the adult who is dropping them off/picking them up. I have an enhanced DBS and public liability insurnace, but if your child has any specific needs please let me know before the lesson.
-
For students 18+ you do not need an adult to accompany you to the lesson.
